About Me

Adam Remick is currently in his fifth year at Pennsylvania State University studying Architectural Engineering. In May, he will graduate with an Integrated Bachelor/Master of Architectural Engineering with a focus in construction management. In the summer of 2016, Adam studied architecture in the great city of Rome for seven weeks.

Adam has spent three summers interning for construction manager for two different companies. Following his freshman and sophomore year, Adam worked for the Norwood Company in Malvern, PA. There, he worked alongside the Technology specialist, working with BIM on several projects. Some responsibilities included clash detection with Navisworks, managing the central coordination model, in addition to preconstruction responsibilities such as quantity take-offs and estimating. At the end of his second summer there, he created a 5D construction sequence simulation for a bid proposal presentation for a casino, leading to the awarding of the project to The Norwood Company.

This previous summer, Adam interned for Balfour Beatty Construction in Washington D.C. as a project engineer on the Capitol Crossing project. The $1.3 Billion mega-project will bring five new mixed used towers to the nation’s capitol and create three full city blocks. Adam’s main responsibilities for the project included quality control tracking, management of two subcontractors, and processing and reviewing RFI’s and submittals. Adam’s main project was creating and maintaining and quality control tracking system for the protection of future overbuild columns. Upon graduation, Adam will return to Balfour Beatty Construction to begin his professional career as a project engineer.
